Gift of Life Counseling and Mentoring Center

The Gift of Life Counseling Center's  mission include teaching to listen, to have compassion, to be understanding and keep the line of communication open.  They are committed to serving the community, youth and the young adult and to keep their hope alive, according to Minister, Annie Stewart.  The center offers counseling, a helping hand with school supplies for the at risk student, mentoring, tutoring, computer lab, homework helper, seminars, field trips and plays.  If you are interested in donating to the center, please call 662-838-3980.

The Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed and provided a ribbon cutting for a new member, Aflac Insurance. David DePriest is the independent associate representing Aflac Insurance to businesses and individuals in the North Mississippi and Memphis, TN area. Servpro of DeSoto, Tate and Tunica counties celebrated their new business location at 3480 Highway 51 South in Hernando with a multi-Chamber ribbon cutting. In addition to fall decorations throughout the facility, food from local restaurants was served and music was provided by local musicians.
